Fat Tire Tour!

Today Dad and I were trying to figure out what we should do to see the city of Berlin.  After we talked to many locals they all said that Flat Tire  Bicycle tours was the best choice! We did the all city tour it lasted about 5 hours and wasabsolutely  amazingwe saw the whole city.  Our tour guide Tim from New Yourk was knowledgable and friendly.  The people on the tour were so nice and we were all so excited to learn new things!

To do the tour you meet at AlexanderPl.  You see all of the city and hear the history of each place.  I have to admit I totally geaked out due to teaching so much of it.  

This is Seigessule.  Hitler moved this whole building due to the fact he did not like the location.

We saw where Hitlers bunker was that he committed suicide. 

We saw the place that the first burning of  the books.  This was part of the Jewish Smear campaign.  Today it is hard to tell that something so awful happened on such a beautiful campus. It happened on the campus because Hitler had convinced the youth to join him.  It was also in front of the public library.  

Tim talked quite a bit at this point about how before Hitlers rise in Germany and especially  in Berlin.  The country was very liberal.  It basically happened over night that it became so conservative.  Many people fled over night.
